Anna Guerrero-Ruiz - Bilingual Kindergarten Teacher
Hello, my name is Anna Guerrero-Ruiz. I have loved working with children for as long as I can remember. One of my first jobs was in an infant room in a daycare. Then later on I worked with 18 months – 2 year old. As I raised my amazing daughter (who taught me a lot), I became very interested in how children learn and grow. I graduated from Southwest Texas University in San Marcos. After college I taught at Stepping Stone teaching 3 year old then 4 year old. I was a substitute and long-term sub for 4 years in Leander and I was a Bilingual Reading Specialist for 1 year. In Round Rock I was a part-time Bilingual Pre-K teacher. Then moved onto teaching in Austin at Graham Elementary as a Bilingual 1st grade teacher. This is my 5th year at Walnut Creek Elementary. I was a Bilingual Pre-K teacher then a Bilingual Kinder teacher and now an ESL Kinder teacher. I love my family, gardening and the great outdoors.
