Mirna A. Salazar - Third Grade Bilingual Teacher

I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and am the first person in my family to have graduated from college. After graduating with a degree in Spanish and a minor in Education, I served as an early literacy tutor for a program called ACE: A Community for Education for 3 years here at Walnut Creek. I enjoyed working with great teachers and students that I decided to become a classroom teacher. I received my teacher certification through Region 13 and began working as a teacher right away. This will be my second year as a classroom teacher here at Walnut Creek. I enjoy teaching, especially because I have the opportunity to see how much students grow throughout the school year.
